In January this year, reports of the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon getting a front leveling kit surfaced. GM Authority found order guides, which the website claimed to contain details about the truck accessory.

The following month, it was at the center of news again when the company shared information on new trim levels for the two truck models. But there was no confirmation when the leveling kit will arrive.

After three months of waiting, GM Authority now has more information on the package. According to the website, the kit is now available for the Chevrolet Colorado and will soon be offered for the GMC Canyon.

GMC is reportedly releasing a new feature for the 2021 Yukon: the brand’s very first illuminated emblem.

The front leveling kit reduces the raked stance of the truck by increasing the height in front by one inch. This is done using an electro-coated upper spacer and a polyurethane lower spacer to ensure proper suspension is maintained. It will also require a spring compressor despite the installation being a bolt-on process.

The kit is compatible with any Colorado trim setup with a four-wheel-drive except for the ZR2.  When fitted properly, it will not void GM’s warranty on new vehicles.

The automaker, however, warned that the kit cannot be installed on two-wheel-drive models as well as any truck whose wheels measure more than 30 inches.

The front leveling kit can be purchased at any Chevrolet dealer for $150.

GMC fans, on the other hand, might want to treat themselves to a different feature while the front leveling kit is still not available for the Canyon.

GM Authority shared the marque will release its very first illuminated emblem for the 2021 Yukon. As an optional feature worth $475, it can add a backlit glow to the GMC logo on the grille. It will reportedly be available in red and black, with the red variant being launched first.
