It hasn’t been long since Ford officially unveiled its 2021 Bronco SUV lineup and already the automaker is teasing the possible release of a special Bronco concept. Not much is known, but the concept is believed to pay homage to the classic patrol and rescue Broncos of the past.
The Blue Oval also appears to be cluing people in on the potential vehicle styling with the phrase, “Might As Well Be The Best,” which is the slogan of Filson, a premium American outfitter.
The use of the phrase hints at a possible collaboration between the two brands, which is now confirmed by teaser images uploaded on the Ford Bronco’s official Instagram page.
The images lend a peek at the exterior of the vehicle, which appears to be based on the four-door Bronco. It features matte black fender flare extensions as well as bead-locking wheels with bead-lock rings in a bright finish. An extensive roof cargo system is also noticeable, although the contents are not shown in the photos. The concept features a two-tone paintwork of retro green and white.
In one of the photos, a huge Warn winch is visibly mounted to the bumper of the vehicle. There’s also a close-up image of what appears to be a brown twill fabric with black leather and metallic accents as well as design sketches showing an upholstered partition between the first and second rows of the vehicle.
Ford is expected to release more information about the new concept in the coming months. However, the Filson Bronco is not slated to go into volume production, or at least not yet. Right now, interested customers can only content themselves with the teaser images.
