Mazda has released the official pricing for the 2020 Mazda 6, which will be the only version of the model for the next model year following the company’s decision to drop the manual transmission for 2019.
Prices of the mid-size sedan, according to information shared by the Japanese automaker, will go up by an average of $200 for the upcoming model year. But consumers can rest assured the model will come with new tweaks, including a new key fob and a trunk lid badge for the Signature trim.
Mazda, however, has not released any information on the possible addition of an all-wheel drive and a diesel engine, which the company has previously talked about earlier this year.
While there are no official photos of the 2020 Mazda 6 yet, it looks like the key fob design will be the same as the one on Mazda 3.he Signature badge is believed to be the same one on the CX-5.
For the 2020 model year, the sedan will still be offered in five trim levels: Sport, Touring, Grand Touring, Grand Touring Reserve, and Signature.
The Sport trim starts at $24,920, followed by the Touring at $27,510, and the Grand Touring at $30,620. All three variants come with a 2.5-liter inline-four engine that makes 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Higher trim levels—the Grand Touring Reserve and Signature—will be available at $33,120 and $36,220, respectively. Both models are powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 250 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, also paired with a six-speed automatic.
The 2020 Mazda 6 is arriving at dealership lots this fall.
