Who said off-roading can’t be luxurious? Not Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA).

This is what the company’s Jeep brand is trying to achieve for 2022 as it tries to attract a new group of customers to purchase the upcoming Grand Wagoneer.

Prior to unveiling the Grand Wagoneer’s concept, Jeep has consistently shared it is working to deliver luxury to customers on a scale that is similar to the Cadillac Escalade. And it looks like the automaker is making good on its promise as it announced the inclusion of premium features on the upcoming model.

Some of the new tech to be included in the new Grand Wagoneer are customizable ambient lighting, digital displays, a 23-speaker audio system, and a leather-draped interior.

FCA has also been reported to have filed for a trademark on the name “Wagoneer Client Services.” According to the documents, it is “a customer loyalty program which provides vehicle owner support, vehicle maintenance, access to events and contests, merchandise discounts, vehicle rental, and trip interruption coverage to customers after the purchase of an authorized motor vehicle.”

Judging by the claim, it sounds similar to the ownership experience the Lincoln brand offers to its customers.

It remains to be seen, however, what Jeep plans to do with the new trademark applications and how they will attract potential buyers who are loyal to other luxury brands like Cadillac, Land Rover, and Audi.

Jeep is slated to release the new Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer sometime next year. Both revived models will be built on Ram 1500s light-duty architecture and are expected to have three engine options: a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, a 5.7-liter Hemi V8, and a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6.
