More Details on 2021 Jeep Wrangler 80th Anniversary Edition

Competition continues to heat up between the Jeep Wrangler and the upcoming Ford Bronco. But while the Blue Oval is relentless in its updates and new offerings, Jeep seems to be lagging a bit behind.

In its latest release, though, Jeep shared some of its plans for the next model year. More specifically, how it intends to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Wrangler.

Back in August, the automaker revealed that the 2021 Wrangler will be available with updated tech and off-road systems. This includes the addition of the TrailCam, a camera system that gives drivers a forward-facing look of the road through a 8.4-inch touchscreen. This feature is expected to improve the driving experience for off-road enthusiasts.

Jeep also previously talked about the Off-Road Plus mode that will be added to the Wrangler Rubicon. The tech allows throttle adjustments, transmission shifts, and traction control during off-road driving. Moreover, there will be two extra USB ports fitted to the vehicle.

However, these are nowhere near enough for the Wrangler to win the battle against the new Bronco. So in the hopes of posing tough competition for its rival, Jeep is also introducing a few more updates on the model’s 80th Anniversary Edition.

For 2021, the Jeep Wrangler will be offered with Granite Crystal interior accents, optional leather, a black hardtop, and 18-inch wheels in the same Granite Crystal finish. Special badges will be added to the vehicle, a remote start tech as well as an 8.4-inch touchscreen.

Jeep has already announced the arrival of the special-edition Wrangler in August, but it’s only now that photos were made available. The model, whose overall styling is reminiscent of the 80th Anniversary Edition of the Gladiator, will be offered with a starting price of $37,485 for the two-door variant and $40,895 for the four-door option.
