At CarParts.com, we love our cars like they’re our children.

This affection has inspired many of us to name them—a custom that has been memorialized in the National Day Calendar as “Name Your Car Day,” which falls on October 2nd. So in honor of #NameYourCarDay, the team here at CarParts.com thought it would only be fitting to celebrate by sharing our babies’ pictures and the stories behind their names:

Name: Juggernaut

YMM: 2019 Subaru Ascent

Age: 10 Months | Length: 196.8 in. | Weight: 4,430 lb.

Proud Parent: Simon

This beauty was named after Juggernaut from X-Men. He’s a gentle beast with a smooth ride and a spacious, super comfy interior.

Names: Tiks | Creamy | Orange

YMM: 2019 Mini Cooper S | 2013 Mini Cooper | 2017 Mini Cooper

Ages: 2 months | 4 years, 7 months | 3 months

Lengths: 151.1 in. | 146.6 in. | 151.1 in.

Weights: 2,760 lb. | 2,535 lb. | 2,605 lb.

Proud Parents: Red | Ivan | Amos

Triplets for three times the cuteness! Tiks has the same nickname as his parent, and the names of the other two are pretty self-explanatory.

Name: Red Foxy

YMM: 2018 Mazda CX-5

Age: 1 year, 3 months | Length: 179.1 in. | Weight: 3,527 lb.

Proud Parent: Manny

“I named her Red Foxy because she’s sexy and smooth yet can get me off-road in the bushes if I please.”

Name: Utica

YMM: 2014 Mazda 3 Hatchback

Age: 4 years, 9 months | Length: 175.6 in. | Weight: 2,797 lb.

Proud Parent: Jon

“We will burn Utica to the ground.” This ride’s name and sun shade were inspired by one of Jon’s favorite episodes of The Office—the one where Michael, Jim and Dwight go on a crusade to the Utica branch of Dunder Mifflin to rescue Stanley.

Name: Mark

YMM: 2004 Volkswagen GTI

Age: 15 years, 3 months | Length: 164.9 in. | Weight: 2,934 lb.

Proud Parent: Sal

Mark’s namesake is a mystery. One thing we do know is that he’s German-Brazilian!

Name: Pitufin

YMM: 2008 Acura TL

Age: 11 years, 3 months | Length: 189.3 in. | Weight: 3,559 lb.

“Pitufin” means “Little Smurf.” This little one’s been through a lot and had a number of common replacement parts swapped out, including the power steering pump, alternator, and lower control arms.

Name: Taco

YMM: 2017 Toyota Tacoma

Age: 2 years | Length: 212.3 in. | Weight: 3,980 lb.

Proud Parent: Carla

Carla’s son dubbed this Tacoma along with all their other family cars. Taco is also known as “Muscle Man,” since he helps with transporting all the heavy stuff and is the family’s go-to rig for off-roading and driving on sand dunes.

Name: Ghost

YMM: 2013 Subaru Impreza WRX

Age: 7 years | Length: 173.8 in. | Weight: 3,208 lb.

Game of Thrones fans will appreciate this one! Ghost was named after Jon Snow’s albino direwolf.

Name: Elsa

YMM: 2013 Honda Accord

Age: 3 years, 7 months | 191.4 in. | Weight: 3,131 lb.

Proud Parent: Jacqui

“Her silver hue reminded me of my niece’s favorite Disney character. She was obsessed with Frozen at the time!”

Name: Gunter

YMM: 1988 BMW M3

Age: 2 years | Length: 171.1 in. | Weight: 2,857 lb.

Proud Parent: Malik

Gunter’s name was inspired by his German descent. Proud dad Malik actually has quite a few German children, including a 1972 BMW 3.0CSa named Klaus, a 1972 BMW 2002 named Heinrich, and a 2003 BMW M5 named Rolf.

We take great pride in our little loves, and hope you enjoyed ooh-ing and aww-ing over them. It never gets old for us—they’re growing up way too fast!

Curious about what are the most popular car names nationwide? Here’s last year’s list from Cars.com:

  1. Baby
  2. Betsy
  3. Ruby
  4. Betty
  5. Beast
  6. Max
  7. Bertha
  8. Pearl
  9. Frank
  10. Christine

Of course, #1 comes as no surprise. Nobody parks Baby in the corner.
