The Hyundai Sonata is a perfectly capable vehicle packed with all the features one needs for a sedan. Too, it’s reasonably priced at $24,595 for its base model.
But for customers who want the model more powerful (and don’t mind a steeper price tag), the performance-oriented Sonata N Line is the answer.
Hyundai is getting ready for the arrival of the all-new model this month with a starting price of $34,195. It’s the very first N Line trim for the Sonata range, and it’s drawing attention for its turbocharged 2.5-liter engine that delivers up to 290 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque.
Also boosting the Sonata N Line’s performance are tuned suspension and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission similar to the one in the Veloster N.
In terms of styling, the vehicle comes with 19-inch wheels and a choice between the all-season or optional summer tires that cost an extra $200. Other features include dual exhaust, a rear spoiler, a panoramic sunroof, special N badging, as well as front and rear fascias unique to N Line models.
Hyundai also said the model will have an exclusive exhaust note and launch control. However, information on the model’s zero-to-600-mph time is yet to be available.
