The Hyundai Santa Fe is getting a styling upgrade for its mid-cycle refresh, as shown by a teaser photo shared by the automaker recently.
In the photo, the midsize SUV sports a different front fascia, including T-shaped LED lighting elements, a new hood, and a more rugged-looking grille. On top of these exterior upgrades, the model is also getting a couple of tech enhancements and interior updates, according to Hyundai.
The 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe was previously known as the Santa Fe Sport. Its outgoing generation was first released in 2019 and currently slots between the compact Tucson and the three-row Palisade in the lineup.
For the coming model year, it isn’t likely to get a new powertrain, meaning the SUV will retain the 2.4-liter inline-four engine that delivers 184 horsepower and the turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four that makes 235 horsepower as the main engine options. Front- and all-wheel-drive variations are also expected to be available.
Other than what Hyundai has so far revealed, nothing much is known about the upcoming Santa Fe. But the automaker is expected to release more details in the coming months in time for the SUV’s debut.
The 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe is set to go on sale in the United States by the end of the year.
