It seems a Night Edition package is becoming a norm in the automotive market as another model is given the treatment by its manufacturer—the Hyundai Kona.

During the official reveal of the limited-run compact crossover, the Hyundai announced it is offering a special Night Edition package for the Kona for the 2021 model year, complete with black trim accents and 18-inch Rays wheels in a semi-gloss black finish.

Other features included in the package are LED headlights and taillights, more gloss-black interior and exterior trim accents, as well as aluminum sport pedals as standard equipment.

Hyundai has not yet released the official pricing for the Kona Night Edition; however, it announced it is also going to be offered in white and gray for customers who prefer a lighter paint job. | Source: Hyundai

As for the optional features, customers can get the Kona Night Edition with a 1.6-liter turbo-four engine that delivers 175 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission to send power to all four wheels.

Hyundai has not yet released the official pricing for the Kona Night Edition; however, it announced it is also going to be offered in white and gray for customers who prefer a lighter paint job. But with a standard turbo engine powering the car, it’s expected to pick up a price tag somewhere close to that of the Kona Limited at $27,240 after the mandatory $1,140 destination charge.

Additionally, Hyundai has not revealed how many units of the Night Edition it plans to build, so interested buyers are advised to visit dealerships as early as possible.
