Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Turn Off Your Vehicle’s Ignition Ensure your vehicle is turned off before starting the ignition coil replacement process.

Step 2: Set the Parking Brake To ensure safety during the replacement, set the parking brake.

Step 3: Open the Hood Pull the hood release handle and open the hood to access the engine compartment.

Step 4: Locate Ignition Coils Once the hood is open, identify the location of the ignition coils within the engine compartment.

Step 5: Disconnect the Injector a. To enhance access, disconnect the injector by pushing the tab and pulling on the connector. b. Similarly, disconnect the power from the ignition coil using the same method.

Step 6: Remove Holding Screw Using a socket wrench, an extender, and a seven-millimeter socket, remove the holding screw from the ignition coil.

Step 7: Remove the Old Coil Carefully remove the old ignition coil by making small lateral back-and-forth movements.

Step 8: Clean Around Spark Plug For optimal performance, use a thin plastic tube taped to the end of a vacuum to clean around the spark plug.

Step 9: Install the New Coil a. Take the new ignition coil. b. Pull the coil back and push it in as far as possible. c. Secure the coil by screwing in the nut using a socket wrench. d. Finish tightening with a torque wrench.

Step 10: Reconnect Components a. Reconnect the ignition coil. b. Reconnect the injector.

Step 11: Repeat the Process Repeat the entire process for the other ignition coils in your vehicle.

Step 12: Process Complete Congratulations! Your ignition coil replacement is complete. Ensure all components are securely connected, and your vehicle is ready for optimal performance.
