Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Turn off the engine and engage the parking brake. Pull the hood release handle and open the hood.
Step 2: Unscrew the front bumper’s upper retaining screws using a ratchet and long 10mm socket from the engine compartment.
Step 3: Spray penetrating oil on the two lower retaining screws located on either side of the protective rubber in the engine compartment. Unscrew them with a ratchet and long 10mm socket.
Step 4: Spray the front bumper’s retaining screw in the driver’s side wheel arch with penetrating oil. Unscrew it using a ratchet, extender, and 10mm socket. Remove the screw and metal bracket.
Step 5: Repeat step 4 on the passenger side, having someone hold the bumper for safety.
Step 6: Use a fork to remove three clips from the front bumper’s rubber protector via the engine compartment.
Step 7: With assistance, remove the front bumper. If replacing due to collision, consider replacing bumper brackets.
Step 8: Separate the valance from the front bumper:
- Spray degreaser on screws holding the metal bracket.
- Unscrew three screws with a ratchet and 10mm socket, then remove the metal bracket. Repeat for the other side.
- Unscrew 15 screws attaching valance to bumper using a ratchet and 10mm socket (apply penetrating oil if needed).
- Press and remove clips holding plastic pieces on the bumper, including license plate holder.
- Remove clips holding lower cover valance on the front bumper.
- Separate the front bumper from the valance.
Step 9: Prepare the new front bumper:
- Replace mounting clips from the old bumper.
- Screw metal bracket onto the front bumper. Repeat for the other side.
- Consider replacing valance with a new one.
Step 10: Attach the front bumper and valance:
- Reattach clips to secure valance.
- Reinstall license plate holder.
- Clip plastic pieces onto the front bumper.
- Screw in the 15 screws attaching the front bumper to the valance.
Step 11: Install the new front bumper:
- Slide the bumper under the bumper cover.
- Screw in two upper retaining screws on each side of the hood opening system.
- Screw in the two screws on the rubber protector.
- Reattach the rubber protector’s three clips to the front bumper.
Step 12: Replace the bracket in its lower slot and screw in the lower screw by hand.
Step 13: Repeat step 12 for the top of the bracket. Finish tightening all screws.

Important Reminders
We recommend that you have a second person assist you by holding the front bumper in place for safety while you unscrew the last retaining screw.
When you change your front bumper due to a collision, you may need to replace the bumper brackets as well.
