Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Your Vehicle

  • Turn off the engine and set the parking brake.
  • Loosen the wheel lug nuts on the rear wheels.

Step 2: Secure the Vehicle

  • Lift the rear of your vehicle using a jack.
  • Place the vehicle on jack stands for safety.

Step 3: Remove the Wheels

  • Remove the wheels to gain complete access to the suspension system.
  • Place the removed wheels under the vehicle for added safety.

Step 4: Locate the Rear Sway Bar End Links

  • Identify the rear sway bar end links, which connect the sway bar to the chassis.

Step 5: Prepare Components for Removal

  • Components may be seized, so brush and use penetrating oil for easier removal.

Step 6: Remove Lower Ball Joint Nut

  • Use an 18mm wrench to unscrew the nut from the lower ball joint.
  • Restrict the rotation of the ball joint using a ratchet and an 8mm socket.
  • Finish unscrewing the nut.

Step 7: Remove Upper Ball Joint Nut

  • Repeat the operation on the upper ball joint using an 18mm wrench, a ratchet, and an 18mm socket.
  • Remove the old sway bar end link.

Step 8: Prepare and Install New Link

  • Take the new sway bar end link and unscrew the supplied nut.
  • Position the new link in its upper part.
  • Insert the bolt into its lower part.

Step 9: Secure the Link

  • Install the top nut and screw the bolt until it makes contact.
  • Screw the lower nut until it makes contact.
  • Use a ratchet and Allen socket to stop the ball joint from rotating.

Step 10: Tighten Nuts

  • Tighten both nuts with a torque wrench to the specified torque.

Step 11: Reassemble the Wheels

  • Put the wheels back on your vehicle.

Step 12: Lower the Vehicle

  • Lower the car back to the ground.
  • Properly block the wheels to ensure stability.
