Summary
  • A car’s acceleration and top speed depend on what engine it’s equipped with. The 2022 Infiniti Q50 comes with two engine options, both are twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engines, but they are tuned differently.
  • The governor limited top speed for both the conventional Q50 and Red Sport 400 is 150 miles per hour (mph).
  • Without the limiter, the Red Sport 400 Q50 can reach a top speed of 183 mph. While the regular Q50 can reach 170 mph.

Any car’s acceleration and top speed will depend heavily on its engine. The 2022 Infiniti Q50 comes with two engine options, both are twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engines, but they are tuned differently. The engine from the conventional Q50 makes 300 horsepower while the Red Sport 400 model makes 400 horsepower. Both variants have a governor limited top speed of 150 miles per hour (mph). However, without the limiter, the Red Sport 400 Q50 can reach a top speed of 183 mph. While the regular Q50 can reach 170 mph.

The Infiniti Q50 will take around 30 seconds to reach 150 mph.

The Infiniti Q50 is sporty, with a 0 to 60 time of 5 seconds. However, it’s far from a sports car. From a standstill, it will still take around 30 seconds to reach 150 mph while flooring the throttle pedal. Take note that traveling at those speeds is extremely dangerous, especially in places that aren’t straight empty highways.

To keep you and your passengers safe, as well as to prevent being stopped by law enforcement, remember to always follow the indicated speed limit on the highway.
