When Ford introduced the Roush tuning packages for its best-selling F-150, it gave customers more package options in further boosting the performance of the truck like the 650-horsepower Nightmare Edition.

For 2020, the automaker is once again treating buyers to a new edition. At the 2020 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Ford recently unveiled its F-150 5.11 Tactical Edition.

The F0150 5.11 Tactical Edition is based on the F-150 Lariat trim and, as the name suggests, will be equipped with 5.11 Tactical gear. According to Ford, production will be limited to only 150 units.

The modified F-150 will be powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine equipped with a 2.65-liter Roush supercharger that makes 650 horsepower and 610 lb-ft of torque. This is a huge jump from the F-150 Lariat’s 395 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque.

The model will also feature a Roush active cat-back performance exhaust system as well as a Fox 2.0 Performance Series suspension system that increases the vehicle’s ride height.

Moreover, the F-150 Tactical Edition will be fitted with 20-inch black wheels wrapped in 33-inch General Grabber A/TX LT305/55 all-terrain tires, ensuring good grip both on- and off-road. It will also come with a custom grille, flared fenders, and custom badging that gives it a distinct look from the standard F-150.

Too, buyers can enjoy a special graphics package and a 5.11 Tactical/Roush Performance Gear kit that includes a hard case with multi-tool, tactical pen, steel multi-tool money clip, tactical duffle bag, a range hat, and a USA flag patch. They are also given options to choose from the Agate Black and Abyss Gray color options.

The 2020 Roush F-150 5.11 Tactical Edition package will be available for an additional $31,000 to the base price of the Lariat. The base trim starts at $42,200, bringing the total to $73,200. Ford is also offering the 2020 Tactical Edition with a three-year or 36,000-mile limited warranty.
