When Ford formally introduced the revived Bronco in July, interested buyers could not contain their excitement at the thought of being able to customize their own units, especially with the wide array of accessories available for the model.
But much to the chagrin of customers, the Blue Oval did not include all the Bronco accessories in the configurator when it went live three months after the launch. What was supposedly a massive list of hundreds of parts and accessories for the Bronco was reduced to only a slim collection.
This put a damper on the customers’ experience since it was a highly anticipated part of the Bronco buying process, particularly for those succeeded in securing a reservation slot.
But as it turns out, there is something for buyers to look forward to next year. According to Esteban Plaza-Jennings, marketing manager for the Ford Bronco, a major update will be introduced to the configurator’s Build & Price tool in the coming months.
Plaza-Jennings said: “In the early part of next year, and what we promise the customers who are really chomping at the bit to place their orders early next year is every dealer-orderable accessory will be up and you will know about those so that you can check the box when you place the order with your dealer, and then all the dealer-channel accessories… will be updated later.”
This was shared in a live-streamed Q&A session with Plaza-Jennings along with other Bronco team managers during the SEMA event earlier this month.
The automaker has been flooded with complaints regarding the lack of options for Bronco accessories in the configurator. But with the update due in the next few months, there’s a great chance customers can finally customize the Bronco of their dreams.
