After all the reports, leaks, and theories, it looks like Ford is finally launching its all-electric Mustang-inspired SUV next month. This, as suggested by a short video shared by the company on Facebook.
Spy photos of the model first circulated online in August. At the time, the prototype was heavily disguised, hence the difficulty in identifying the exact shape and proportions of the vehicle. The only thing that was clearly visible were some basic lines.
The vehicle shown in the video has some similarities with the prototype spotted two months ago.

However, it also bore differences. While both vehicles have identical front fascias, the SUV from the video appears to be larger than the model in the spy photos.
Given the information in the video, it is still inconclusive whether it is indeed the upcoming Mustang-inspired SUV or an entirely new pre-production prototype that the Blue Oval is working on.
Nonetheless, Ford is expected to release more previews and information on its new SUV sometime next month. There is also a possibility for the automaker to debut the vehicle at the Los Angeles Auto Show, although Ford has not confirmed anything about its final plans.
The company is set to introduce its Mustang-inspired SUV sometime next year as part of its 2021 model year lineup. Once officially launched, deliveries will begin on the first half of 2020.
