The Ford Bronco is only a few months away from arriving at dealerships across the United States. Ford recently announced it will start converting reservations into final orders this month. Too, it shared its plans to deliver the first batch of the returning model by summer.

Despite being hounded by tons of orders for the SUV, the automaker remains unfazed. In fact, it appears to be considering adding a pickup model for the popular nameplate.

In a newly released video highlighting the design of the Bronco SUV, the Blue Oval showed a few teasers revealing the Bronco with a truck bed. Online publication Motor1 was the first to notice it, including the surfboard in the back that clearly reads “Bronco.”

But the sketches are in no way indicative of the final production version of the Bronco pickup—that is, if it ends up getting manufactured. Regardless, it shows what the brand’s designers have in mind for a truck worthy of the Bronco name. In one of the sketches, the model is shown with a fold-down tailgate, while another displays a separate cab area and storage space.

Considering the video was meant to showcase the Bronco SUV, it’s unclear whether the pickup sketches were made around the same time Ford was designing the off-roader.

While the automaker has been tight-lipped about the sketches, it did mention in July 2020 that it wants to challenge the Jeep Gladiator pickup. But whether it’s going to be from the Bronco range or the Ranger remains to be seen.

As of writing, reports claim the future Bronco pickup could enter production in 2024. This means the Gladiator could continue lording it over the segment without a tough challenger.
