When Ford opened—and subsequently closed—reservations for the 2021 Bronco SUV a few months back, it did not disclose how many slots were confirmed and which models were the most popular among interested buyers.
With the Bronco online configurator going live recently on the Blue Oval’s official website, the automaker shared some details about the reservations. For one, there are about 190,000 confirmed Bronco reservations to date.
In a recent interview with online magazine Autoblog, Ford’s US Consumer Marketing Manager Mark Grueber talked about the highly anticipated vehicle in detail.
The Bronco Wildtrak trim was revealed to be the most popular model among those who placed reservations, followed by the Badlands variant. With the First Edition model in the equation, the two trims are the most expensive models in the Bronco lineup at $50,370 and $43,590, respectively.
According to the latest data, 26% of reservations are for the Wildtrak trim, while 20% are for the Badlands. The remaining 54% is divided into the lower trim levels, while nearly half of the total number of reservations include the much publicized Sasquatch package.
Between the two-door and four-door configurations, Grueber shared that over 120,000 customers opted for the four-door model. Of the total number of orders placed for the 2.3-liter turbo-four engine option, 10% of customers expressed interest in the seven-speed manual transmission.
The revived Ford Bronco is set to arrive at dealerships in the United States beginning June 2021, with the last batch of orders from initial reservations expected to be delivered around 2022. Customers with confirmed reservations are given until December of this year to finalize their orders with local dealers.
