Three new performance off-road packages are making their way to the Ford lineup for customers looking to upgrade their 2019 and 2020 Ranger pickups.
These dealer-installed packages feature an off-road suspension, tuned Fox shock absorbers, 17-inch Dyno Gray wheels, as well as Ford Performance decals for the windshield and rear fenders as standard inclusions.
Customers already have the option to get the FX4 off-road package for their Ranger trucks, adding an off-road-ready FX4 suspension, bigger tires, a locking rear differential, skid plates, and tow hooks to the vehicle. Hoewever, the three new performance packages are aimed to provide more adventurous options to buyers when it comes to off-roading.
The packages are categorized by level—Ford Performance Level 1 to 3—each with a different set of accessories.
The Level 1 package costs $2,495 before installation and includes all standard accessories, while the Level 2 package costs $4,495 without installation and adds a few more accessories: 265/70 BFGoodrich K02 off-road tires, an off-road lighting kit, a Ford Performance stainless steel license plate frame, and blue two hooks.
Moreover, the Level 2 package also offers engine calibration for the turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine, bringing up its max output to 315 horsepower and 370 lb-ft of torque.
Topping the range is the fully-loaded Level 3 package that has all the accessories in both Level 1 and 2 packages. But it also features a Ford Performance chase rack with a 40-inch light bar, a sport exhaust system, an ARB winch-capable front bumper, and red tow hooks. It costs $8,995 before installation.
