Ford Goes Live with 2020 Escape Configurator, Reveals Price Increase

Ford has released configuration options and official pricing for the 2020 Ford Escape through its website ahead of the model’s upcoming fall debut.

The company is offering the 2020 Ford Escape in an array of colors, including green, blue, orange, gray, red, black, silver, white, and gold. It also features 19-inch wheels, a panoramic roof, and Class II trailer tow package as part of the options.

The 2020 Ford Escape has a starting price of $26,080, putting it between the base trim 2019 Honda CR-V, which has a starting price of $25,545, and the base trim 2019 Toyota RAV4, which starts at $26,770.

Among the entry-level standard features included in the new Ford Escape are a 4.2-inch LC screen display, cloth front bucket seats, 17-inch steel wheels, and pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking. It is also equipped with a standard 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-three engine that makes 180 horsepower.

For the higher SE trim, the interior is upgraded with an 8-inch screen and a 10-way power driver seat with front row heat, among others. It starts at $28,980. The SE Sport Hybrid trim, meanwhile, goes for $29,450 with a 198-horsepower hybrid powertrain and a 12.3-inch full digital instrument cluster. The SEL trim starts at $30,450 and includes a hands-free liftgate, a 1.5-liter engine, and an upgraded seating material dubbed the ActiveX.

The Titanium model, which is the highest trim for the Escape, features a hybrid powertrain, heated front leather-trimmed seats, and a 10-speaker B&O sound system with prices starting at $34,595. For an additional charge, buyers can get a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine with 250 horsepower for the top-tier SEL and Titanium trims.

The 2020 Ford Escape is scheduled for release in the next few months, while a plug-in hybrid Escape is also expected to arrive next spring.
