Celebrities are known for their great sense of style. But apart from the usual clothes and accessories, some of them have developed a keen taste for exquisite automobiles. From a legendary comedian to arguably the greatest boxer of his generation, we present to you eight of the most famous American celebrity car collectors.

Jay Leno

Comedian and talk show host Jay Leno has one of the biggest known car collections in the US. It is reported that Leno owns 181 cars and 160 motorcycles. He is quite enthusiastic to share his collection to the public through his show, “Jay Leno’s Garage” where he features a different car in each episode.

In his massive collection, Jay Leno loves his 1972 Mercedes Benz 600 Kompressor the best. The car makes 525 horsepower but manages to be a very quiet and comfortable vehicle.

Jerry Seinfeld

Jerry Seinfeld worked his way up in the tough environment of New York City. It honed his quick wit and developed his love for cars. Seinfeld’s garage is known to be one of the biggest Porsche collections in the US.

Among the most expensive cars in his collection is the 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS. It is estimated to be worth $500,000 to $1.4 million. There were only 49 Carrera RS models produced in 1973, making the car very rare.

As of January 2019, Jerry Seinfled’s car collection is worth $1.4 million.

Magnus Walker

Magnus Walker is known for his counterculture Porsche collection as much as he is known for his clothing brand. Before delving into fashion, he was already fascinated with Porsches at a very young age. His success as a fashion designer came a few years after moving to the US in 1986. His hard work really paid off when he was able to finally buy his first Porsche in 1992.

The very first car in his collection was a 1974 Porsche 911. He made a lot of memories in it, including countless speeding violations. This car marked the start of his vast Porsche 911 collection today.

Matt Farrah

As host of “The Smoking Tire” podcast, Matt Farah built a sizable audience from his videos that features him test driving and reviewing some of the best cars in the market today. Due to his success, he was eventually able to build a collection of his own.

His black “Fox Body” 1988 Ford Mustang stands out with its 268-horsepower 302 cubic inch Ford Racing V8 crate engine and suspension modifications. It was a car best suited for the track. Unfortunately (and admirably at the same time), Farah put it up for auction in 2018 giving half of the proceeds to charity.

Tim Allen

Tim Allen grew up in Detroit before following his call to be an actor and comedian. He starred in Home Improvement, Toy Story, and Galaxy Quest. But aside from his Hollywood career, Allen is also known to be a collector of American cars.

His favorite daily driver is a custom 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS. With its black paint, it could be mistaken as an unmarked cop car with serious power under the hood.

Aside from his favorite, the 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS LT5, Tim Allen also loves the 1946 Ford Convertible, 1986 Ford RS200, and 1965 Shelby Cobra.

Patrick Dempsey

Patrick Dempsey is best known in Hollywood as one of the lead roles in the “Grey’s Anatomy” TV series. But apart from being a well-respected actor, Dempsey also worked his way up to become a respected race car driver and even formed his own racing team with Porsche, Dempsey Racing.

Dempsey’s favorite ride is his 1963 Porsche 356. This is the car he bought when he first made it to Hollywood as an actor. It was his daily driver for at least 15 years. He vows never to let go of the car because of the value it has to him.

Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is not called “Money” for nothing. He is one of the most successful boxers in the history of the sport with a record of 50-0. From the paychecks he earned, he filled his garage with exotic cars.

One of the rarest cars in Mayweather’s collection is the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita. Priced at $4.8 million, only four cars are known to exist. The car is beefed up with a 1,018-horsepower supercharged engine. On a straight line, it can easily clock a top speed of 250 mph and hit 0-60 mph in about 2.9 seconds.

Bill Goldberg

Bill Goldberg was on his top game as a professional wrestler in the 90s. He headlined matches in WWE and WCW. These days, he spends his time hosting reality shows and building up his car collection. Just like Tim Allen, most of the cars in his garage are muscle cars.

Among Goldberg’s prized muscle cars is a 1968 Yenko Chevrolet Camaro. He bought the car after he got his big career break. This car is one of only seven Camaros built by the Yenko dealership in 1968. And for a time, this was also the daily driver of race car maven Don Yenko.
