The Dodge Challenger is on its 50th year and, like many others that reach this milestone, it will be given a limited-edition anniversary appearance package for the 2020 model year. This is extra special for the Dodge considering the auto market in the United States chuck majority of its sales in pickups, SUVs, and crossovers.

The 50th Anniversary Edition package will be available on four models: the GT RWD, R/T Shaker, R/T Scat Pack, and R/T Scat Pack Widebody Challenger.

This means the Shaker hood will be offered on the R/T Scat Pack Widebody model, making the first Shaker scoop to be sold in a body color in contrast to the satin black hood that will also be available. The Shaker hood, however, will only come on V-8 models.

Aside from the Shaker hood, the commemorative edition will also be packed with other add-ons. These include trim-specific Gold Rush alloy wheels with varying designs depending on the level of Challenger purchased. Models with Brembo brakes will also get a new gunmetal finish on the clippers instead of the usual bright red color.

Moreover, Dodge is also giving the model “50” logos on the seats, dashboard, floor mats, and rear spoiler, which will also be illuminated on the inside of the headlight housing. The interior, on the other hand, will come with a yellow-themed gauge cluster and sepia stitching on the dashboard, seats, and steering wheel, as well as real carbon-fiber accenting.

The 2020 Dodge Challenger’s 50th Anniversary Edition package has a starting price of $4,995 for the GT RWD, $5,495 for the R/T Shaker, and $5,995 for the 392-horsepower Scat Pack. Dealers will start taking in orders in December, but deliveries are expected to arrive next spring.
