Terms and Conditions: CarParts.com Do-It-For-Me (DIFM) Beta Installation Referral Program
These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in CarParts.com, Inc.'s ("CarParts.com" or "we", "us") DIFM Beta Installation Referral Program (the "Program”). These Terms and Conditions supplement the Terms of Use available at carparts.com/terms-of-use and supersede any conflicting terms contained therein. You must be 18 years or older to participate in the Program. If you do not desire to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, do not participate in the Program.
Program Overview
Thank you for your interest in the CarParts.com Installation Referral Program. Because you are a valued customer of CarParts.com, we have partnered with RepairPal to offer you access to personalized service from reputable shops and mechanics. Through this partnership, we have access to a network of thousands of Certified shops and mechanics (“RepairPal Certified Shop(s)”), which we will utilize to help you identify a local shop or mechanic to perform services suitable for your parts installation and auto repair needs. By ordering services from a RepairPal Certified Shop through carparts.com or one of our customer service representatives, you confirm your intention to participate in the Program and to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Your participation in the Program is further subject to your compliance with RepairPal's terms of service, available at repairpal.com/terms_of_service.
Nature of Installation Repair Services
All installation and repair services ordered under the Program will be performed by third-party RepairPal Certified Shops. By ordering such third-party installation or repair services through the Program, you will be entering into a legally binding contract directly with your selected RepairPal Certified Repair Shop for the vehicle installation or repair services ordered by you. Because CarParts.com is not a party to your contract with the RepairPal Certified Repair Shop, we cannot guarantee that the services performed by them will meet your needs or be error-free. You must address any concerns you may have about the quality of the installation or repair services with the relevant shop and/or RepairPal.
Upon request, CarParts.com may attempt to help resolve any dispute you may have with a RepairPal Certified Shop, although we cannot guarantee a successful resolution in your favor. To request our assistance, please reach out to our DIFM Install Beta team at the email address provided below.
Your Obligations Under the Program
You will be required to pay all service fees and any rescheduling charges directly to the applicable RepairPal Certified Shop. You agree to make your vehicle available to such repair shop or mechanic on the scheduled service date and time at the agreed upon service location. You will provide us with all information which we reasonably request from you in order to book and confirm your appointment with your selected RepairPal Certified Shop.
Pricing
Quoted rates are valid for 7 days and are subject to change if you reschedule your appointment to occur more than 30 days past the date of your original order or if you and the applicable RepairPal Certified Shop agree to modify the scope of services to be performed.
Consent to Information Sharing
By participating in this Program, you authorize us to share with RepairPal and participating RepairPal Certified Shops all relevant information included in your order for the purpose of helping you obtain convenient and cost-effective service for your vehicle. Such information may include without limitation your personal name, username, contact information (such as email and phone number), zip code, device type, time stamps, personal availability and vehicle related information (including VIN, license plate, make, model, year and custom features). By participating in the Program, you also give us and RepairPal permission to book an appointment for you with the shop of your choice. We will use, process and store your personal information in accordance with CarParts.com's privacy policy, available at carparts.com/privacy-policy. RepairPal's use of your personal information is governed by RepairPal's privacy policy, available at repairpal.com/privacy_policy.
Refunds, Returns & Warranty
RepairPal Certified Shops are required to offer a minimum 12 month/ 12,000 mile warranty on the installation services and repairs they provide you. If the installation of the parts is faulty in any way, you may return to the shop or mechanic to complete the work again at no charge. If you have questions or issues with the service you receive at a participating RepairPal Certified Shop, you may contact RepairPal at 877-287-5234 for assistance. Please note that refunds related to the installation or repair work can only be issued by the shop or mechanic that performed the installation or repair work.

CARPARTS.COM, INC.'S SOLE OBLIGATIONS UNDER THIS PROGRAM ARE (1) TO USE REASONABLE EFFORTS TO HELP YOU IDENTIFY AND BOOK AN APPOINTMENT WITH A REPAIRPAL CERTIFIED SHOP AT THE PRICE QUOTED TO YOU AT THE TIME OF ORDER, AND (2) TO ABIDE BY APPLICABLE LAW AND THE TERMS OF OUR PRIVACY POLICY IN STORING, PROCESSING AND TRANSMITTING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CARPARTS.COM, INC. DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY WARRANTIES WITH RESPECT TO ANY INSTALLATION OR REPAIR SERVICES PERFORMED BY A REPAIRPAL CERTIFIED SHOP, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTIBILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL CARPARTS.COM BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR OTHERWISE, ARISING OUT OF YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE PROGRAM, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LABOR EXPENSES, MECHANIC FEES, TOWING EXPENSES, ADDITIONAL REPAIR EXPENSES, RENTAL CAR EXPENSES, OR ANY OTHER INCIDENTAL COSTS OR EXPENSES WHICH YOU MAY INCUR AS RESULT OF REPAIR OR INSTALLATION SERVICES PERFORMED IN CONNECTION WITH THIS PROGRAM.
Release of Liability and Indemnity
You agree not to hold CarParts.com, Inc. or RepairPal legally responsible for, and will hold us and them harmless from and against any claims relating in any way to: (1) any dispute between you and a RepairPal Certified Shop; or (2) any installation issues, vehicle damage, or personal injury or death occurring in connection with or arising, directly or indirectly, out of services performed by RepairPal Certified Shop. You further agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless CarParts.com and RepairPal and their subsidiaries and corporate affiliates, managers, employees, contractors, agents, officers and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising out of: (i) your participation in the Program, including any data or work transmitted or received by you; (ii) your violation of these Terms and Conditions; (iii) your violation of any third-party right, including without limitation any right of privacy, publicity rights or intellectual property rights; (iv) your violation of any law, rule or regulation of the United States or any other country; (v) any claims or damages that arise as a result of any of any content submitted via your account or any unauthorized use of your account by third parties.
