Chevrolet is working hard to reclaim its spot as the second bestselling brand in the truck segment, which was recently secured by Ram, and catch up on league-leading Ford. And it looks like the brand is poised to do so with an upcoming release.

What did the work for Ram is the latest Ram 1500 truck, which has great interior styling that lords it over competitors such as the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.

But for the 2021 model year, Chevrolet is gearing up for a comeback with the new generation Silverado 1500 as well as its sibling GMC Sierra 1500. Both trucks will feature revamped interiors, which include larger infotainment screens and higher-quality materials, as well as an improved overall fit and finish.

Chevrolet is mounting a comeback with a new and improved Silverado 1500, revamped interiors and all.

Chevrolet is no longer just banking on sales incentives to attract buyers but is working on top-quality interior for its full-size pickup trucks instead.

But if parent company General Motors knew what needed to be done to secure its position at number 2, why didn’t it include the interior upgrades in the 2020 generation of the Silverado and Sierra 1500s?

According to insider reports, GM was not planning to launch its new 1500 trucks in 2019 but heard that Ram was preparing to launch its own. GM felt it didn’t have a choice but to release its own 1500s so Ram doesn’t have all the attention. However, the premature release led to poorer performance in the market, allowing Ram to eventually overtake Chevrolet in the standings.

Amid tough competition for the number 2 spot, however, Ford is also not standing idly by as it prepares to introduce new upgrades for its F-150. The redesigned Ford F-150 truck is expected to feature new front and rear styling as well as a new drivetrain with hybrid technology.

The truck wars continue to heat up in Detroit but for now, consumers can only wait for more news on America’s betsellers.
