It was in 2016 when Chevrolet first introduced the Silverado 2500HD Carhartt Concept to the public during the SEMA show in Las Vegas. Designed in collaboration with the renowned clothing company, the model received great reception from the public that the automaker decided to send it to production.
Fast forward to 2019, Chevrolet debuted the production version of the Carhartt Edition Silverado at the 2019 SEMA show, and now, it’s set to arrive at dealerships in the United States. Ahead of the model’s arrival, the automaker released a promotional video revealing its final look.
“The uniform of hard work now available in a truck,” the narrator is heard saying on the video as it pans through Carhartt products being produced and worn by workers. “Bowtie included.”
The 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Carhartt Edition will be available as LTZ Crew Cab variant along with the optional Z71 Off-Road Package. It comes with a mosaic Black Metallic finish complete with Carhartt pinstripe detailing, Carhartt badges on the doors and tailgate, as well as 20-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, and a soft roll-up tonneau cover with an embossed Carhartt logo. Completing the look are chrome inserts, a body-color grille bar, and body-color front and rear bumpers.
Inside the vehicle are all-weather floor lines also with Carhartt badges and two-tone perforated front and rear leather seating in Jet Black and Carhartt Brown, which are accentuated by Carhartt embroidered headrests.
The Carhartt Special Edition package is available for $3,585, but it also requires customers to purchase the LTZ Plus Package, LTZ Convenience Package II, Safety Package II, and Z71 Off-Road Package. All of this sums up to an additional $8,370 to the price of the regular 2500HD Crew Cab LTZ.
The model will be sold at Chevrolet dealerships across the United States, except California due to the state’s legislation prohibiting amber roof marker lamps in vehicles.
