After news broke out that the Cadillac Escalade for the 2021 model year will make its official debut at the Oscars, the luxury SUV is once again in the spotlight for a stunning feature.

Cadillac recently announced that the upcoming Escalade will sport a 34-inch curved OLED screen, complete with twice the pixel density of a 4k television. The SUV joins other models from automakers who have decided to slowly transition from tablet-sized devices to television-size infotainment screens.

According to the automaker, the pixel density on the Escalade’s screen could create extremely high picture quality. And like the Tesla Model 3, it will also have a streaming capability.

In a video that is making its rounds online, the Escalade’s steering wheel shows the green light stripe that indicates the brand’s Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system. Super Cruise is a level 2 autonomous driving system that allows the car to drive itself for hours on highways without driver intervention.

Judging by this information and the spy photos revealed in the previous weeks, it looks like the new Cadillac Escalade is going to be a head-turner. It is expected to be set up with an independent rear suspension like its corporate siblings Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban. And like the two Chevys, the Escalade is also getting a 6.2-liter V-8 engine as well as the 3.0-liter turbo-diesel inline-six as an option.
