From the point of view of automakers, buyers like it better if a vehicle matches their personality, which explains why Chevrolet is making a variety of Silverado 1500 special editions available.
Among the most recent editions Chevrolet released were the 2020 Midnight and Rally Editions, which gave the truck more aggressive styling with the option to go for either an off-road or on-road vibe.
But the first quarter of the new year isn’t even over and Chevrolet is already sharing details on the first special edition for the 2021 Silverado.
For the upcoming release, the automaker is working with the world’s leading camouflage brand for the second time since their partnership in 2016. This time around, it’s for the 2021 Silverado Realtree Edition.
“Silverado continues to offer customers more choice and capability where it counts,” Chevrolet Truck Marketing Director Bob Krapes said. “Building on the popular Custom Trailer Boss model, the new Realtree Edition offers hunting and fishing enthusiasts a truck perfectly matched to their passions.”
The model reportedly uses a Silverado 1500 Custom Trail Boss framework and is given custom camo graphics from Realtree. Like all Trail Boss vehicles, the Silverado Realtree comes with a two-inch suspension lift, 20-inch black wheels, Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT On-Off Road Tires, as well as the Z71 Off-Road Package. The Z71 gives the truck monotube Rancho shock, Hill Descent Control, skid plates, an automatic locking rear differential, and a two-speed transfer case.
For the powertrain, customers can get either the 5.3-liter V8 engine that makes 355 horsepower and is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission or the optional 420-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 mated to a 10-speed automatic.
Additional camo graphics are also found in the truck’s interior door trim, while a Realtree logo is integrated into the bed liner. Black badging, black exhaust tips, four-inc black round assist steps, and all-weather floor liners complete the package.
