Pictures of Land Rover’s 2020 Defender were leaked after the vehicle was recently spotted at a shoot location for the latest James Bond film with the body entirely uncovered.

After models such as the Aston Martin Valhalla and a vintage V8 Vantage were revealed to be making an appearance in the latest James Bond franchise, “No Time to Die,” an Instagram user @shedlocktwothousand claims the next-generation Land Rover Defender is also joining the lineup.

Over the years, several Land Rover models appeared in various James Bond films such as the old Defender, Discovery Sport, and Range Rover Sport. And while it comes as no surprise that the new
Defender is also joining the fray, what’s newsworthy is that the model has only been shown in public as camouflaged prototypes.

Based on the spy shots, the 2020 Land Rover Defender still has its distinct boxy shape, as well as the flat roof and hood. But the front fascia gets an updated design that looks like that of the Range Rover. Additionally, the angled square headlights are replacing the round headlights from the previous generation.

Also spotted among the new features were a winch, alpine windows, checks on the hood, flared wheel arches, and increased ground clearance. And judging by the photos, it looks like the new Defender’s overall design leans more on evolution rather than a total overhaul of its predecessor.

The 2020 Land Rover Defender, according to more leaked documents, will be available in three variants: the 90, 110, and 130, with the 110 being the first model to be released. It will be offered with a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine with 300 horsepower and 480-lb-ft of torque in the U.S and is scheduled for an official reveal in September.
