Not all models manage to make it to their 25th year in the market, which is why Honda is seeing a cause for a celebration as the Odyssey welcomes its silver anniversary in the industry.
The Japanese automaker is launching a special Anniversary Edition Package right in time for the release of its fifth generation for the 2020 model year. The package includes a hoard of accessories, including 25th Anniversary badges, illuminated door sills, chrome trim for the roof rails and doors, and a special key.
The package will be available in two levels–one that includes the badges and chrome trim and the other that has the same accessories but with the addition of chrome wheels.
Other than the Anniversary Edition package, the 2020 Odyssey is also equipped with upgrades such as an improved powertrain lineup. The 10-speed automatic transmission, which was only offered on the premium Touring and Elite trims, also becomes a standard across all trim levels.
Honda will no longer be offering the nine-speed automatic transmission for the Odyssey beginning 2020.
But while there are no significant changes between the two transmissions, the 10-speed automatic shows better fuel economy, which is a plus for consumers.
Pricing for the entry-level LX trim of the 2020 Honda Odyssey begins at $31,785, while the Elite trim is offered at $48,415. The 25th Anniversary package, meanwhile, starts at $1,803 and goes up to $3,999 with the inclusion of the chrome wheels. The model will be available in dealerships beginning this month.
