Mitsubishi is giving the Outlander a full redesign for 2022, and with it comes a $900 price bump for the new features.

The Outlander lineup starts with the base ES trim at $26,990. It is equipped with a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 181 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque as well as 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, front USB ports, and active safety techs such as forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear automatic emergency braking.

On the other hand, the midlevel SE model, which comes with an optional Tech Package and Launch Edition, retails for $30,040. It is offered with the same powertrain option as the ES variant. Also issued as standard for the SE is a front-wheel-drive, while an all-wheel-drive is available for an additional $1800.

The SEL trim tops the lineup at $33,140. It is offered with optional Launch Edition and Touring packages. Other SEL add-ons that customers can avail of include wireless phone charging, wireless Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, a 10.8-inch head-up display, a 9.0-inch touchscreen, and a 10-speaker Bose audio system.

For additional safety features, customers can get the Mi-Pilot Assist suite, Mitsubishi’s integrated safety system that comes with adaptive cruise control, lane-centering technology, and stop-and-go traffic assist.

The new pricing schedule for the coming year brings the redesigned Outlander a couple of hundred dollars pricier than its rivals such as the Nissan Rogue, Volkswagen Tiguan, Ford Escape, and Honda CR-V.
