Three months after it confirmed a Willys Edition is in the works for the Jeep Gladiator, Jeep announced the off-road-ready trim has officially joined its 2021 model year lineup.
The newly released variant is an affordable alternative to the hardcore Gladiator Rubicon off-roader previously launched by the automaker.
With its rock sliders and a rear locking differential, as well as black trim and 32-inch mud-terrain tires, the Gladiator Willys has seemingly taken a page out of the Rubicon book —minus the hefty price tag.
“Building on the widely popular Wrangler Willys, we’re thrilled to announce the Willys model is joining the Gladiator lineup as another way for Jeep to connect with our customers,” Jeep for North America Head Jim Morrison said. “Gladiator Willys models harken back to the original Jeep lineup while offering an aggressive look and additional increased capability.”
The 2021 Jeep Gladiator Willys is now available at dealerships in the United States with a starting price of $36,760, including the mandatory destination fee. It’s significantly cheaper than the Gladiator Rubicon that retails at $45,615.
