The 2021 Ford Bronco‘s arrival at dealership lots in the United States is still several months away. But customers just can’t seem to lay their minds off the returning model.
It doesn’t help that websites continue to release updates on the latest developments relating to the SUV, effectively drawing people in towards the vehicle.
One recent update is published on the Bronco 6G forum, which pertains to a document claiming dealers will not be directly charging Bronco buyers with installation fees for hundreds of accessories that will be available for the crossover. This move is reportedly part of the Dealer Installed Options (DIO), a new program launched by Ford for its network.
The measure works well with the option given to customers to configure their own Bronco just before finalizing the order with an authorized dealer. It also allows buyers to bundle the cost of the dealer-installed accessories, if any, into the vehicle’s financing.
But while the offer appears attractive, interested buyers would do well to note that the DIO program only applies at the time of purchase. In short, if the customer decides to make the purchase of accessories after the Bronco has been delivered, the customer will shoulder the cost of installation. Moreover, wheels are exempted from the program.
However, much as excitement surrounds the highly anticipated model, the Blue Oval has yet to reveal the complete list of accessories for the Bronco. The company is rumored to release it online, but it’s unclear when it plans to do so, if it ever will.
