There is only a couple of months left until Ford begins delivering units of the 14th-generation F-150 to its dealerships in the United States. This new version of the best-selling model is reportedly having a hybrid 3.5-liter V6 with a 700-mile estimate from EPA. Also set to follow is a fully electric version for the 2022 model year.

However, amid constant reports on other F-150 variants, one model seems to be off the radar—the 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor.

The redesigned version of the performance pickup truck is also expected to arrive for 2021 to compete with the 1500 TRX truck that Ram is hyping up to no end. However, Ford still hasn’t confirmed its arrival.

Despite this, eyes and ears are still playing close attention to the latest development at the Blue Oval’s headquarters.

A recent post by a member of the F150gen14 forum claims to have obtained the official color guide of the upcoming Raptor.

According to the guide, Ford dealers have been advised of the “Code Orange” paint scheme for the still-unannounced Raptor. The shade is believed to be exclusive for the Raptor variant, although it remains to be seen if it’s going to be a carry-over or a limited-edition 2021 model.

Ford is also reportedly planning to equip the new Raptor with a 5.2-liter V8, the same engine that powers the Mustang Shelby GT500. It will be reduced to around 725 to 750 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, but still more powerful than the Ram 1500 TRX’s 702 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. And just like the regular F-150, it will also be offered with a hybrid V6 engine for the base model.

These specifications, however, are still speculations so interested buyers will have to wait until the truck debuts to confirm the details.
