Ford has shared more details about the next-generation Ford F-150 pickup that’s debuting tomorrow.
According to a report published by Reuters, a source claims that the 2021 Ford F-150 will feature a “sleeper seat” that will make it like a second home for the owners. But unlike the same sleeper seats found on airplanes, Ford’s will be positioned flat inside the truck.
Ford, however, declined to comment on the report.
The upcoming generation of the well-loved truck is not a complete redesign but is expected to showcase extensive updates to the model.
Based on earlier spy photos, it has a revamped interior that includes a huge touchscreen in the center and a digital gauge cluster. These features are believed to be part of the lariat trim level, while range-topping variants are expected to get more sophisticated wares.
Just last week, Ford also shared an official teaser photo of the new F-150 exposing its LED signature headlights.
Reuters also says it will have over-the-air update capability, suggesting that the Sync 4 will be included in the upcoming F-150. OTA, according to the report, is part of Ford’s new agenda to cut warranty costs.
Following the arrival of the new F-150, the 2021 Ford Bronco is also scheduled to debut. A hybrid version of the F-150 pickup, which will be paired with a V8 engine, is also set to be released in the near future.
