Ram will be auctioning off the very first 1500 TRX Launch Edition on March 26. The off-road pickup truck with VIN #001 is one of 702 limited edition units and will be sold at Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale auction to benefit the United Way for Southeastern Michigan.
The model to be auctioned off comes in Anvil Gray paint and sports a 6.2-liter Hellcat supercharged V-8 engine that delivers 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. It also features a unique red and aluminum center console badge, plus a number of accessories such as a Mopar RamBar, rock rails, a spare tire carrier mounted on the bed, and the TRX Level 2 equipment package that includesa Harman/Kardon sound system, carbon-fiber interior trim, and Beadlock-capable wheels.
The Hellcat engine will be paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission and can go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds. It is reportedly quicker than the Toyota Supra and is believed to be the most powerful production pickup currently on sale.
