It appears a Jeep Gladiator Willys will be arriving soon in time for the 2021 model year. That is, if a recent post on a Jeep Gladiator forum turns out to be true.

According to a screenshot of a dealer bulletin shared by a user on the platform, a new Jeep Gladiator Willys is poised to join the lineup. This bit of information may not come as a surprise considering that a Wrangler Willys is already offered to customers.

The alleged dealer bulletin reveals details about the model such as the similarities the truck will share with the SUV. Based on it, there will be a standard limited-slip differential and rock rails, two features that are notably part of the Wrangler Willys architecture. Although there was no mention of upgraded shocks for the truck, it does not sound too far-fetched for Jeep to add it as well.

In terms of off-roading features, the Gladiator Willys is expected to get body-color fenders, a blacked-out exterior, black wheels wrapped with mud-terrain tires, as well as Willys graphics.

But more than that, there is also likely going to be two price points for it. If the bulletin is to be trusted, a Gladiator Sport is set to arrive with a starting price of $35,245, while the other trim falls at $39,240.

It’s unclear what kind of model the more expensive variant will be, but it is expected to have more gear and stylish features than the entry-level Willys.

On top of that, an 80th Anniversary Edition for the Gladiator is also reportedly on the table. But instead of commercially branded Jeeps that first became available in 1945, the special edition model will likely be based on the Bantam Reconnaissance Car and Willys Quad that were used during World War II.

The Anniversary Edition may come in the form of a Gladiator Overland armed with extra badges or a few styling updates.

Jeep refused to comment on the veracity of reports. But if it’s true, the Gladiator Willys and the Anniversary Edition may be unveiled sooner rather than later.
