The Honda Ridgeline will have new features, an updated look, and a rugged Honda Performance Development (HPD) appearance package for the 2021 model year .
Quickly noticeable among the styling updates for the truck is the top half of its front end, which now has a squared-off design that comes with a redesigned crossbar, a unique-looking grille, and gloss or black chrome connecting the headlights, depending on the trim.
Conversely, the lower half gets a number of changes too, starting with the the 18-inch wheels wrapped in all-season tires and front bumper that has side vents to help move air around the front wheels.
The HPD package will be offered on all new trucks joining the lineup regardless of the trim level. The HPD suite includes a blacked-out grille, black fender flares, bronze wheels as well as HPD graphics accentuating the bed walls.
The 2021 Honda Ridgeline will be powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 that delivers 280 horsepower and paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The RTL-E and Black Edition variants will come with standard all-wheel-drive, which will be optional on the base Sport and RTL trims.
Moreover, an updated display audio system will make its way to the truck, complete with new graphics and a physical volume knob. All Ridgeline models will get a new contrast stitching, with the Sport and RTL and RTL-E variants having more added components such as a new dash, steering wheel, and center console accents.
Honda Sensing, which comes with forward-collision warning, lane-keep assist, lane departure, and adaptive cruise control, will be standard on the 2021 Ridgeline.
Honda is expected to begin sales of the new Ridgeline in the United States early next year with a starting price of just over $35,000.
