Fans of the Honda Pilot no longer have to opt for the higher Touring and Elite variants as the automaker finally gives the model a nine-speed automatic transmission across all trim levels for the 2021 model year.

However, interested buyers will have to shell out more for the new Honda Pilot as it gest a slight price increase of $600, bringing the entry-level LX trim to $33,370.

Aside from the automatic transmission, the Honda Pilot is also equipped with more standard features such as paddle shifters, dual-zone climate control, and a stop-start system.

Honda finally gives the Pilot a nine-speed automatic transmission across all trim levels for the 2021 model year .

A Special Edition (SE) trim is also joining the Pilot lineup, slotting in between the EX and Touring variants with a starting price of $40,080. The SE trim sports a few similarities to the EX trim, including black 20-inch wheels, foot-activated power tailgate, and a wireless charger.

For customers looking to get any of the Pilot models in an all-wheel-drive setup, there will be an additional charge of $100 to $2,000, depending on the trim.

Other than the new trim and standardization of the nine-speed automatic, nothing much has changed for the 2021 Honda Pilot. It is still powered by the same V-6 engine that delivers 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque.

The model is now available at Honda dealerships across the United States.
