After numerous spy photos, renderings, leaked images, and years of waiting, Ford is finally unveiling the revived Bronco to the world next month.
In its recent announcement, the automaker said the official reveal for the highly-anticipated off-roader will take place in July. Initially scheduled for spring this year, the company had to push back the original timeline due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic that led to a two-month production halt for several automakers in the United States.
When it arrives, the new Bronco will go head-to-head with the well-loved Jeep Wrangler. The two models share some similarities, including a boxy styling, removable doors and roof, high ground clearance, and a rear-mounted spare tire. Along with these features, the Bronco will also have its nameplate across the grille as well as circular LED running lights.
The Ford model is expected to be equipped with a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine as standard and an optional twin-turbo 2.7-liter V-6. It is also believed to get a manual transmission option like the Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator.
Ford has not shared a specific date for the Bronco reveal, but it’s only a matter of weeks before the public finds out the complete details.
The SUV is set to go on sale in the U.S. sometime next year with a starting price of $30,000.
