2021 Ford Bronco Leases Cheaper for Four-Door Variant

Everybody wants to get their hands on the new 2021 Ford Bronco. But not everyone can afford to buy it on the get-go. This is why several dealerships are offering leasing options to customers who want more flexible options and the opportunity to switch to a new car after a few years.

There is a unique setup in terms of monthly lease payments for the Ford Bronco between its four-door and two-door variants. The breakdown of fees is laid out in an article published by Cars Direct.

Based on the rates, it could be cheaper to get a four-door model than a two-door despite the former having a higher asking price.

This is possible thanks to Ford’s residuals for calculating a lease. For a buyer who leases a two-door Big Bend Bronco for 36 months, the monthly payment will be $421 per month with $4,069 due upon signing. This comes out on a $534 monthly basis for the next three years.

A four-door Bronco in the same trim level, however, would only cost $380 monthly on top of the $4,277 at signing, bringing the monthly break down to only $499. The numbers are based on a listed price of $36,475 for the two-door Bronco versus a four-door model at $38,970.

Cars Direct thinks buyers could score bigger savings by performing due diligence when shopping for the new Bronco instead of making a commitment right away. However, the situation could be different for other Bronco trims. For customers who are looking to get the base model, there are only about $15 monthly savings between the two-door and four-door models.

Customers might also find it cheaper to lease a regular Bronco than the Bronco Sport, with a monthly cost of $419 for the Bronco and $449 for the smaller model.

Ford is currently accepting orders for the highly awaited Bronco, but production is not expected to begin until May of this year. The first batch of crossovers is due to roll out of the assembly and arrive at dealerships in June.
