2021 Chevrolet Tahoe Packs More Tech

The 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe is arriving soon and General Motors is hyping the customers even more with the release of basic pricing for the new and improved model, with the base trim priced at just $1,000 more than the previous generation. This, with the addition of an all-new independent rear suspension, new diesel engine option, better interior packaging, and a whole lot more features.

For the coming model year, the entry-level Tahoe LS is offered at $50,295. It comes with standard features such as a 10-inch touchscreen, a 4.2-inch digital gauge-cluster display, 18-inch wheels, and LED headlamps and taillamps.

It also benefits from a standard 10-speed automatic transmission and a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that makes 355 horsepower, as with other Tahoe models in the lineup.

However, customers would have to wait a month longer for the base trim as the company will only be allowing orders for the LT, Z71, Premier, and High Country trim when the fulls-size SUV arrives. The LS trim, along with the RST, will be available a month later.

A tier above the Tahoe LS is the LT trim, which is also packed with a slew of new content for a starting price of $55,095. Positioned above it is the Tahoe Premier, priced at $63,895. Some of the features that both models are getting are GM’s adaptive suspension technology and an 8.0-inch instrument cluster display.

Meanwhile, Chevrolet is giving the High Country trim the 420-horsepower 6.2-liter V-8, while a new 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-six that makes 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque will be available as an option. The inline-six will be offered on all models except the Z71. Prices for the higher trims, however, are still yet to be released.

Production for the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe is set to commence this spring and will be followed by the Suburban a month later. The diesel engine option is expected to arrive sometime in the fall.
