With months to go until its official launch, the 2020 Ford Bronco has been exposed—partly—to the general public, thanks to leaks here and there. The Blue Oval has not confirmed anything so far, but it’s not like spectators are skeptical about the available information.

In another flow of unconfirmed details about the talked-about SUV, the new Bronco is said to be packed with a plethora of off-road technology.

A recently published report cites a profile for an engineer who is believed to be working with Ford on the new Bronco. Based on the profile, the highly anticipated SUV will feature advanced off-road technology, including Adventure Capture, Real-Time Tire Pressure Monitoring,Convoy Communications, Rear Seat Occupant Alert, On-Board Scales, and Off-Road Navigation,.

Out of all these, the least surprising is the Off-Road Navigation technology, which is already available on the Ford Ranger Raptor, particularly the ones sold overseas. The system works by leaving digital footprints on a map to help drivers find their way back after going off-road. The other features, however nice to have, are all still unconfirmed.

Adventure Capture seems like a system that records video using built-in cameras and uses the data to create a clip for the drivers.

Real-time Tire Pressure Monitoring, on the other hand, is mainly a safety feature that plays a significant role in diagnosing a deflating tire, especially when off-roading.

Convoy Communications appears to be an application that provides a means for Broncos to communicate with each other when traveling together. If offered on the upcoming Bronco, the system will likely be integrated through the SUV’s infotainment system or the Ford Pass app.

Rear Seat Occupant Alert is another feature that is starting to become common among new cars. It aims to prevent children from being left in the rear seat when the driver steps out of the vehicle.

On-Board Scales, meanwhile, is a feature often seen in large commercial vehicles that are required to follow a specified weight limited on highways. How this can aid the Bronco on off-roading remains to be seen for now.

Given these claims of new technology, Ford seems to be gearing the Bronco for heavy off-road duty and giving owners the opportunity to capture their adventures.

Asked about the leaked Bronco features, a representative from the company said they cannot comment on speculation about future products.
