At long last, the 2020 Ford Bronco now has a likely official release date.

After countless theories and much anticipation, Ford has finally decided when the public reveal will be. While the Blue Oval didn’t get too specific, the SUV is expected to finally make its debut next spring, as confirmed by a recently released teaser video.

The video does not give any clue on the production version of the off-road-oriented SUV. Instead, it shows the history of the iconic Bronco nameplate from its birth all the way to its upcoming return. Various logos and footage of classic Broncos are shown in the video before the newly updated font and badge make their way to the screen. By the end of the video, the Bronco is revealed to arrive next spring.

Ford is also expected to release more information on the 2020 Bronco in the months leading to its release.

Over the last couple of years since Ford confirmed the return of the Bronco as a 2020 model, the company has kept mum about the details of the SUV. It also hardly released any information nor confirmed the many theories that circulated in the web. Whether the 2020 Ford Bronco will indeed come with removable doors, a manual transmission, as well as the rumored powertrains, none of these are confirmed—at least, for now.

The new Bronco is one of Ford’s models expected to boost the lineup as the automaker slowly veers away from passenger cars, except for the Mustang coupe. Leading the way for the Blue Oval are the 2020 Ford Explorer and Escape, while the Bronco and “Baby Bronco” are also set to join the family soon. The “Baby Bronco” will be based on the Escape’s bones but will come with a more rugged styling instead of a car-like crossover.

Now that the spring 2020 release is set in stone, it is highly likely that Ford will take advantage of the North American International Auto Show to launch the Bronco, especially since the show’s timely date change from January to June seems favorable.

Ford is also expected to release more information on the 2020 Bronco in the months leading to its release.
