Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has unveiled its upcoming special edition 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and it’s packed with a lot of pretty nice upgrades.

Among the improvements added to the Octane Edition of the 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is a new grille which allows a more direct path for cool air to reach the intake.

A new Launch Assist system that uses wheel speed sensors to pull engine timing is also included to address the vehicle’s tendency to wheel hop due to independent rear suspension. It also features the Line Lock that holds the front brakes for a proper burnout, as well as a Torque Reserve that holds boost in the supercharger.

The After-Run Chiller continuously circulates coolant between the supercharger and the heat exchanger, preventing heat soak and ensuring the vehicle delivers reliable, consistent power.

The Octane Edition Hellcat, which offers 707 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque from its 6.2L supercharged V8 engine, differs from other Hellcats in the market with its full-length satin black stripe with Octane Red tracers. It’s low-gloss black 20” wheels, borrowed from the Scat Pack, also come with a knurled bead that prevents the tire from slipping on the rim. It comes with a Brembo brake package that includes Octane Red six-piston and four-piston front calipers, while the interior features houndstooth inserts in the leather sport seats.

The 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Octane Edition is offered in two colors – Pitch Black and White Knuckle. It retails at an additional $1,495 to the base MSRP of a Hellcat at $68,740. Deliveries are expected to begin this fall.
