1. The trouble code P0340 shows a problem with the camshaft position sensor circuit. It could be the sensor itself, its wiring, or the ECM (engine main computer) is faulty.
2. The service department you had it checked cleared the code using a scan tool. This does not necessarily fix the problem permanently, it just erases the stored trouble code.
3. Have your trusted auto repair shop check your car thoroughly for any wiring damage/fault that is connected to the camshaft position sensor (the mechanic would know if the sensor itself is at fault).
