Hi there,
A lifter tick usually occurs when a lifter does not properly maintain proper clearance between the camshaft and valves. This problem is generally caused by low oil pressure, clogged lifter passages, and worn-out lifter components. Since you did two procedures you mentioned, the oil flush and Rislone treatment. It is possible, but not a common occurrence, that the oil flush might have dislodged some deposits that could now be temporarily blocking lifter passages, causing the inconsistent ticking. While the Rislone treatment might have compatibility issues or interact with your synthetic oil in unexpected ways (while unlikely, it is a possibility).
I hope this helps!
