Hi there,
Based on the details you provided, loss of engine power after replacing the ignition cassette, there are several possible issues to consider:
1. Misfiring problem. The backfiring that happened indicates some issues such as bad spark plugs, ignition coil issues, and bad fuel injectors. Inspect, test, and replace any of those components that are bad.
2. Vacuum leak. If a leak happens, it will cause a loss of engine power. Check for damaged/punctured vacuum hoses and other components that could be leaking air into the engine.
3. Incorrect engine timing. Check the timing belt if it is properly aligned and if the ignition timing is set correctly.
4. Fauly/clogged fuel filter. Fuel flow is restricted affecting continuous engine operation. Replace the fuel filter.
I hope this helps!
