Hi there,
Losing power while your vehicle is in Park mode, even with a new battery and starter, can be caused by various issues. Here are the possible culprits:
1. Electrical system fault. A possible bad alternator, loose/corroded battery terminals, bad ground connection, or a short circuit. Any disruption of electrical power to critical components will cause a loss of power.
2. Fuel delivery issues. a defective fuel pump or a clogged fuel filter would cut off fuel to the system and cause a loss of power abruptly.
3. Ignition switch problems. A faulty ignition switch can cause intermittent loss of power or hard-to-start issues.
4. Faulty ECM. If there is a problem with the engine control module, it will disrupt the vehicle's electronic systems and lead to power loss.
I hope this helps!
