2007 Buick lacrosse cx low beam headlights randomly shut off
There was supposedly a part that was suppose to be replaced on my buick to correct the issue of the headlights randomly shutting off. The part was replaced but the problem still is happeneing. When you are driving it is only the low beam headlights that wont work periodically, the high beams work just fine. They work fine for a day sometimes months then randomly go out and then come on again sometimes minutes sometimes hours later. No rhyme or reason to when they go out or come back on. What can i do to correct this?

Hi there,
If you have already replaced the low beam bulbs, but still the intermittent low beam malfunction persists is indicative of a grounding or wiring problem. Here are the top three possible causes of the low-beam malfunction:
1. Faulty wiring harness. A corroded or damaged wiring circuit of the headlights can cause the (sudden) intermittent malfunction after some short perod of working fine.
2. A poor ground connection can disrupt power delivery and cause flickering or a complete shut-off of the low-beam bulbs.
3. A faulty dimmer/headlight switch. Issues within the dimmer/headlight switch will cause the low beam bulbs to malfunction since the power is not consistently being supplied once electricity passes through the switches.
I hope this helps!
