Hi there,
If you have already replaced the spark, plug, ignition coils, and spark plug wires (leads) but are still experiencing misfires, the ignition control module is the only possible component worth considering. The ICM is a crucial part in controlling the ignition system and timing. Follow this steps to check it:
1. Use an OBD-II scanner to retrieve any trouble codes from your vehicle's ECM.
2. Visually check the other components for physical defects or damaged (such as the spark plugs, the wires, distributor cap & rotor,)
3. Resistance testing. Use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the ignition control module. Check the a vehicle specific servie manual for such procedure.
4. Spark tester. If you can borrow or rent a spark tester, test every spark plug wire to verify the presence and strength of the spark. A weak (or intermittent) spark should indicate issues with the ICM (ignition control module) or the spark plugs itself.
5. A faulty fuel injector could also be the cause.
I hope this helps!
